THE February meeting of the Alde Valley Suffolk Family History Group will hear from Berry Mayall about childhood during the Second World War. Bringing in the harvest. Watching for enemy aircraft. Rescuing survivors from the wreckage of bombed houses. Keeping the family business running when parents were enlisted into war-work. These are just a few examples of how children and young people made substantial contributions to the war effort during the Second World War.

WOODBRIDGE MUSEUM AFTERNOON TALKS
THE doors of the new Woodbridge Museum opened for the first time at Maritime Woodbridge in October. Visitors were able to see the Reception area and shop. Following this the museum closed in order to start the fitting out in earnest. Work is progressing well and before long it is hoped that the Friends of the Museum will be able to visit and see the complete building. The museum will open its doors to the public in April 2019.
