Beccles Theatre gets ready for Family Pantomime

Beccles Public Hall is gearing up for its most successful pantomime ever this year. With well renowned  panto company Sound Ideas, the theatre has been transformed into a magical experience for the whole family.

Theatre Manager Richard Melchior said ‘We believe that Pantomime should be fully family friendly and affordable. Its been a turbulent year all over the county and we want to offer a chance for the whole family to come together in Beccles and enjoy a funny, silly and spectacular show. We feel really lucky to be working with such an exceptional company and I’m bowled over by what they’ve achieved in the theatre. Beccles is a great place to visit and if you’re coming to the Pantomime, why not start off with a meal at one of the many restaurants locally. The pandemic has proven how essential theatre is to the local community and when the hall puts on a big show we see people coming from all over the county to shop in and enjoy the town’

Beccles Public Hall has quickly become a jewel in the crown of Suffolk with a wide range of events available and several well known names returning year on year on their tours. Working closely with The Beccles Business Association to build tourism and business for the town the Theatre is well placed to serve the residents of Beccles.

The Theatre is run by a small dedicated staff and numerous volunteers. With plans to expand in the new year and new audiences being reached for events, classes and shows. The Theatre is soon to become a hot spot for arts and culture in East Anglia.

Jack and The Beanstalk runs from 16th December to 2nd January.
