Family Easter Event Returns to Southwold Play Park
The Play Park at Southwold Maize Maze is opening its gates for 2025 with a family friendly event over the Easter holidays.
The Easter Bunny Hunt event will run from 4th– 21st April for the duration of the school Easter holidays, providing a fun day out for the whole family. The event features two key activities – the Bunny Hunt and the Golden Egg Challenge – as well as full access to the play park.
Seven cheeky bunny character boards will be hidden discreetly around the play park, and it’s the task of visitors to find all bunnies and complete their sticker card to receive a prize.
The Golden Egg Challenge is becoming a visitor favourite; each day, a golden egg is carefully hidden in the play park, with a prize up for grabs for whoever sniffs it out!
Tickets include access to all facilities within the play park, which includes three jumping pillows, double zip line, ride on tractors, nest swing, climbing towers and slides, downpour derby water play, two giant sand pits, and the recent addition of play cafés and kitchens.
The play park will be open from 9.30am – 4.30pm, with last entries at 2.30pm.
Over the Easter weekend, from Good Friday to Easter Monday, Wendy Rabbit will also be joining the bunny hunt at the venue, adding extra fun for young visitors.
Owner Bella Hall shares her plans for 2025, which is a milestone year for the team at Southwold Maize Maze.
“Since Spring has arrived, we’ve been working hard behind to scenes to plan ahead for 2025, and we’re delighted to be welcoming visitors back to this beautiful spot on the Suffolk Coast,” she says.
“We’re delighted to be opening the gates to our play park again, starting with our Easter event, which is taking place for the duration of the school Easter holidays!”
“It is also a very special year for us this year, as we’re celebrating 20 years of Southwold Maize Maze, so we’re very excited for what’s to come. I can’t say much more yet, but we’ve got some exciting things planned!” she adds.
The Spring Weekends at the Play Park will also be returning on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 21 April – 13 July, plus every day of May half term 23rd May – 1st June. Visitors should note: the maize mazes will be planted in May, which means the mazes and go kart track will not be open until July. Until then, the play park offers a day full of fun for everyone.
Old Hall Southwold Café and Walks, which shares the site overlooking the River Blyth, will also be open for the duration of the Easter holidays.
Tickets for the Easter event are available online (£2 for adults, £7.50 for children), where there is an advantage over gate prices (£3 for adults, £8.50 for children). For further information and to book tickets: https://www.southwoldmaizemaze.co.uk/easter.
