Beccles Carnival Celebrates Hugely Successful First Easter Egg Hunt

Beccles Carnival is delighted to announce the huge success of its first-ever Easter Egg Hunt, held on Saturday 4th April. More than 200 children took part across five hunts throughout the day, making it one of the most well‑attended new events in the Carnival’s calendar.

Event organiser Yazmin Feek said the turnout exceeded all expectations:

“It was a huge success. Seeing so many families enjoying themselves on Beccles Quay was wonderful, and we’re thrilled that our first Easter Egg Hunt was embraced so warmly by the community.”

A special thank you goes to Harris & James, who generously donated their handcrafted chocolate eggs. Five lucky children discovered the coveted Golden Eggs, each securing a special prize. In a memorable twist, one young winner also uncovered a coconut hidden among the eggs on Beccles Quay an unexpected surprise that added even more excitement to the day.

The Beccles Carnival organising team said the event’s success has already secured its future:

“We’re absolutely delighted with the response and will definitely be running the Easter Egg Hunt again in 2027.”

With Easter celebrations wrapped up, the team now turns its attention to the main event of the year: the Beccles Carnival Weekend, taking place on 15th and 16th August.

Beccles Carnival extends heartfelt thanks to all the families who attended, to the Easter Bunny for bringing extra magic to the day, and to Tesco Beccles for kindly donating some Easter eggs.
