BUNGAY CAMERA CLUB
THE club’s most recent competition took place on June 28th and the theme was ‘Country Churches’. This image of the Church of St Mary, Henstead with Hulver was taken by Ray Mason and was awarded nineteen out of twenty points in the Monochrome Print category. Ray also achieved first place for another image entered in the Colour Print category. Following Ray was Holly Stranks in second and Andy Wilson in third. Positions in the Monochrome Print section went to Andy Wilson in first; David Morrell second; David Penrose third. The following were awarded places in the Digital Projected Images category: Jane Murphy (first), Sue Grief (second), Peter Nixon (third).
On Wednesday 26th July members are due to meet at Southwold to spend an evening photographing the town. This is followed on August 9th by the next themed competition – the subject is ‘The Great British Weather’, so members may well be able to use some of their images from the Southwold trip…
Club members are busy preparing for their annual exhibition and fair, to be held at Broome Village Hall (Sun Road, Broome, NR35 2RW) on Saturday 2nd September from 10am until 6pm. Entry is free and as well as the chance to see members’ photographs, there will be photography-related talks; craft stalls; the chance to try optics from Viking Optical; tea, coffee, sausage rolls, cakes; and a tombola!
