Holton and Blyford Village Hall
It’s Spring Craft Fair time at the Hall – Saturday 6th April – will see a collection of very different stalls selling everything from superb photographic prints via food, to gifts for all those birthdays and special occasions. Do come along and have a cup of coffee/tea and a piece of home made cake and wander amongst the colourful array on offer and then there’s hot bacon rolls and tasty soups to savour at lunch time.
April will see our normal fun offerings of Bingo on 11th and 25th starting at 7.30pm. Cash prizes of over £250 per session on a regular basis and lots of fun and laughs – why not give it a try?
Big Breakfast starts at 9.a.m. on Sunday 7th April – give yourself a break and let somebody else cook a traditional breakfast, which includes loads of toast and great marmalade made for us by Jill and John Hewlett – our grateful thanks as ever.
The Pop up Pub opens its doors on Friday 26th at 7.30pm. -it’s a great social get together in Holton, lots of chat and banter and information(!) gets passed on.
Our future programme features The Classic Car Day on Sunday 16th June. Our really big event with lots of Classic and Vintage vehicles to admire and a chance to chat to the owners.
In the Hall there will be an Art installation, All Day Music, The Bar will be open from noon and the kitchen will amaze you with its offers of meals, cakes , teas and coffee’s.
We have invested in our own Bar b Que and it will be in full strength with burghers and sausage rolls etc; There’s also our favourite Ice Cream man in his van and our willing volunteers are running a Tombola stall. Anyone wishing to donate some items for the tombola please just give Wendy a ring on 01986 872590. Its that number to book a stall too, pitches are available inside and out .
June is our very busy month with the Open Gardens following on 29th and 30th, If you grow perhaps too many plants for this season we would be really grateful to have them for the Plant Stall at the Hall over the weekend – everything we make helps to keep the Hall open and available for all to use, visit and hire.
At our AGM in July we will be looking for enthusiastic members of the community to join our committee who want to see the improvements to the Hall continue and are willing to pitch in and be part of a “Team” determined to deliver. Could that be you?
Following our successful Burns Night on September 7th we will be running our first Autumn Supper another chance to have a great night with friends with super food! Booking will be essential so ring Wendy for tickets.
