CHILDREN DURING WORLD WAR II
THE February meeting of the Alde Valley Suffolk Family History Group will hear from Berry Mayall about childhood during the Second World War. Bringing in the harvest. Watching for enemy aircraft. Rescuing survivors from the wreckage of bombed houses. Keeping the family business running when parents were enlisted into war-work. These are just a few examples of how children and young people made substantial contributions to the war effort during the Second World War.
NB. Kelsale Village Hall is up an external shallow flight of stairs, but there is a stair lift: if you think you are likely to need it, please arrive early, and let Maggie Strutt know beforehand, so we can be ready for you! 01728 602298 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
