The Roger David Burrows Music Fund presents ‘Christmas Music’

The Roger David Burrows Music Fund presents ‘Christmas Music’. This will be light musical entertainment featuring Helen Ellison with students and singers and the Melton Folk and Abi Vaughan (accompanist) on

Saturday 10th December, 6.30 pm at St Michael’s Church Centre, The Drift, Martlesham Heath, IP5 3PL.

Christmas Music will feature singing and violin playing, traditional and popular Christmas songs eg ‘Walking in the Air’, ‘While Shepherds Watched’ and ‘Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer’, including various arrangements involving strings, piano and voices.

Melton Folk will add another dimension to the evening with flute, guitar, drums and melodeon, sometimes accompanying the singing.

There will also be some audience participation with songs to sing and percussion to play so that everyone can join in together at the end.

Christmassy refreshments and raffle. Admission at the door: Adults £7.50, under 16-year-olds free.

Grant Applications for The Roger David Burrows Music Fund. There is still time to apply for a grant – Applications are welcome from individuals and from groups. Application forms should be submitted to the address below by January 1st 2017. Grants will generally be of up to £150, eg towards the cost of instruments, music, music related equipment and musical activities.
