
Hassle Free Baking
With everyone’s favourite baking programme returning to our screens later this month, we thought we would test out an alternative for those amongst us who are perhaps a little less talented than the bakers who will be gracing the famous tent.
If like me, you love home made cakes and the smell of freshly baked bread, then you will be happy to hear help is on hand. We sampled some of the baking mixes and fruit fillings from Ta-Da! and the results were great!
The mixes are easy to use and the instructions couldn’t be more simple and best of all they taste incredible, it is fool-proof.
The favourite with us was the Ta-Da! Chocolate Cake Mix, just add water and vegetable oil and you are away. We opted to make one large cake but the mix can easily be split to make individual cupcakes or muffins. You can follow the recipe below or play around and come up with your own creation. This is a great way to get your children involved in the fun of baking…….even if you are no expert yourself!
Black Forest Muffins
Just combine Ta-Da! Dark Cherry Fruit Filling with Ta-Da! Chocolate Cake Mix to bake up a batch of these rich, fluffy, indulgent muffins. They’re so easy to make, and even easier to eat!
Total prep and bake time required: 40 Mins
Recipe ingredients
- 500g pack Ta-Da! Chocolate Cake Mix
- 240ml water
- 135ml vegetable oil
- 400g Ta-Da! Dark Cherry Fruit Filling.
Equipment
- 1 Large mixing bowl
- Measuring jug
- 12 tulip muffin cases
- Preheated oven to 180°C, gas mark 4.
Recipe method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C, gas mark 4
- Line a 12 hole muffin tin with 12 tulip muffin cases
- Place the cake mix in a large bowl and mix in 240ml water and the oil to form a smooth batter
- Divide half the mix between the muffin cases
- Spoon over 200g dark cherry filling then top with the remaining cake mix
- Bake for 25 minutes and allow to cool
- Spoon over the remaining dark cherry filling to serve.
