Wenhaston Bowls Club Holds Annual Tournament With Record Number of Attendees

On Sunday 13th August Wenhaston Bowls Club held their annual open triples tournament. This year’s event was run by club chairman Tom Daly and received a record number of entries, that of 32 teams. The day was well attended with visiting friends and family with roughly 120 plus persons present.

Tom Daly said “This was the biggest turn out we have had and it was a splendid day on a fantastic green. I wish to thank all of those who helped out the day before and the day of the tournament in a wide variety of roles and this would not have done so well without your help and those of your family. I also thank those who baked, bought and served the BBQ and food.  I thank all those who supplied raffle prizes, who sold the tickets and I thank those who helped clean up when the event was finished.”
