Roman Exhibition at Beccles and District Museum
Beccles and District Museum has ventured back to Roman times for its latest special exhibition which is available until the end of the season on 28th October. Featured items include fishing-net weights, a stone anchor and loom weights for which a model of a Roman loom has been specially made by curator Alan Wheeler.
The exhibition has been curated by museum volunteer Ted Howell. Volunteer Shirley Roberts has provided a large bay wreath that a conquering hero would have been proud to wear.
The Museum is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday afternoons, 1.45 – 4.30 pm. Admission is free (donations welcome).
