Are you struggling with transport to the Pear Tree Centre? If so, just get on the Hoppa when it’s on its way to Cutlers Hill Surgery (see below) and ask the driver to be taken to the Pear Tree entrance. All of the drivers will be more than happy to do so.
Our scheduled arrival times at Cutlers Hill are as follows:
Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 10.10am, 11.20am, 12.15pm, 2.45pm and 3.12pm
Wednesday, Saturday, 10.10am, 11.20am and 12.15pm
If you would like to part of our friendly team of volunteer drivers, please give us a call on 01986 875900. All you need is a valid driving licence with a D1 category – which most people have if they passed their test before 1997. Even if you can spare just one morning or afternoon a week, it would make all the difference to our essential local service. If you cannot make a weekly commitment, you could be on our list for occasional community hires around East Anglia. We will train you, here in Halesworth, free of charge.
Timetable alert! Unfortunately, the Hoppa is not being used much in the afternoons these days. So, bearing in mind the increasing cost of fuel, we may need to make cuts to the after-lunchtime service. Running empty, or near empty, buses simply may not be viable anymore. If you have any comments about this, we would welcome your input. You can call on 01986 875900 or email email@example.com.
