Skills Workshop 26+

Description

These workshops take place once a month and allow participants to explore a variety of different performance skills. Ideal for those who may not, or cannot commit to a longer course or for those interested in discovering or improving a specific theatre skill. Workshops take place, usually the third Wednesday of the month at Stage Two and are run by an array of trained practitioners specialised in their field.

Wednesday 16th May - The Ensemble Actor This workshop will explore group work both physically and vocally to ensure the story is at the core of performance rather than the individual actor.

Wednesday 20th June – Stage Combat An introduction to stage combat where you will learn to create the illusion of physical combat. From slaps and hair pulls, kicks and punches, you will learn techniques so you can create your own choreographed fight.

Wednesday 18th July – Voice and the Actor As an actor one of your main tools is your voice. Through exercises and techniques you will look at the basics of the body and breath, range and power, and clarity and diction, all of which will help your voice to be stronger and more colourful.
