Description

Technique Class

The course is designed to help those who are considering applying for Drama schools, Universities, or who just want to improve their audition technique.

Over the seven weeks, you will be given advice on how to select and prepare monologues, work with our tutors on classical and contemporary speeches, learn vocal and physical techniques to support your audition preparation and gain insight to what audition panels look for.

Participants work both collectively and individually. The emphasis of the group work is to encourage observational skills which can then be applied individually. Time is also given to hone skills in adaptability and working with others. Industry guests visit to offer experience and help create mock auditions so you can enter the real thing with confidence.

You will be expected to have prepared a contemporary speech written after 1980 for week one of the course. Experience of drama and a high level of motivation are essential.

Places are limited to 15 and given on a first come first served basis, we therefore advise applying early to avoid disappointment.

Minimum age 16+

Sessions take place in Stage Two.
