THE stage is set for another award winning performance! The cast of Reydon and Southwold pantomime group are set to tread the boards again as they prepare for their next enthralling pantomime after recently collecting a prestigious award from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) for their portrayal of Robin Hood (2015).
This unique group write their own scripts, create their own scenery, costumes and props and the all-female cast perform to hundreds of people in the idyllic town of Southwold every year all in aid of local charities and worthy causes. Following this year’s successful production of Beauty and the Beast the group was pleased to aid beneficiaries including the East Anglian Air Ambulance, Sole Bay Care Fund, Reydon Christmas lights, Southwold Library, Alex Ruthven trust and the East Anglian Hospice.
Chairman Louise Harrison says "We are delighted to announce that our next pantomime is to be ‘Aladdin’ but of course, it will be performed ‘as you have never seen it before’ in our own truly unique style full of witty banter and lots of local twists… oh yes it will!"
The performance starts on Sunday 22nd January 2017 for one week and tickets will be available from Southwold Library and online (www.ticketsource.com/rspanto) from November 26th 2016.
