Woodbridge Remembrance Services

THE Town Mayor, Councillor David Mortimer invites members of the public to the following Remembrance Services:

Thursday 8th November – 10.45am at the New Cemetery; Friday 9th November – 10.45am at the War Memorial; Sunday 11th November – 10.45am at the War Memorial, followed by open air service on the Market Square.

WOODBRIDGE MUSEUM AFTERNOON TALKS

THE doors of the new Woodbridge Museum opened for the first time at Maritime Woodbridge in October. Visitors were able to see the Reception area and shop. Following this the museum closed in order to start the fitting out in earnest. Work is progressing well and before long it is hoped that the Friends of the Museum will be able to visit and see the complete building. The museum will open its doors to the public in April 2019.

Suffolk Family History Society Ipswich Group

THE next Suffolk Family History Society Ipswich Group talk will take place on Thursday 22nd November at 7.15pm.  Roy Tricker, known for his love and appreciation of Suffolk Churches and what is inside them presents "The Fun and Fascination of Churches" at the Co-op Education Centre, 11 Fore Street, Ipswich, IP4 1JW (Car park Waterworks St, IP4 1JG).  £2 members, non-members warmly welcomed £2.50  - you can join the Society at the meeting if you wish.Tickets are not required - just turn up and pay at the door.

The Wonderful Tigerlilys are coming to Town!

The Public Hall is proud to welcome back the very talented Claire Welham and her wonderful dancing & singing troupe, The Tigerlilys. They are back to Beccles for a momentous treble bill of performances for the last part of this year, one per month, starting with the popular Night at the Musicals, followed by the lovely family show, Once Upon a Fairy Tale and finishing with the sassy Diva Fever which has been wowing audiences in the area. Summer Fete Leiston

ST Margaret's Church in Leiston will be holding a Summer Fete in the Church and its grounds on Saturday 28th July between 2pm and 4pm.   
There will be lots of stalls, games, Raffles, a barbecue, and delicious afternoon teas.  Musical entertainment will be provided by local Folk group Syzewell Gap and our own church organist, Jonathan Williams.  
Do please join us if you can for a fun afternoon and help us raise much needed funds for our beautiful church.
