WESTHALL REUNION

Were you born in Westhall or brought up in the village?   How often do you sadly attend a funeral and meet childhood friends, old school mates and past neighbours who you haven’t seen for a while, sometimes years?  But when you do, it is always on such an occasion, and where it is so often suggested that “…we must all get together in happier circumstances …”

Well, following such an event, a few Westhallians went ahead and held a small reunion with Julie, the daughter of the old local policeman Mr Ward, where it was decided to pick a date in 2019 for a larger get together, and so it’s happened!

There will be a Westhall reunion on Sunday 5th May between 2 and 6 pm at the village hall to which you and your family are welcome to come along to meet old friends, reminisce and generally have a good catch-up.   Please bring a plate of food, something to drink (tea & coffee will be provided) and any old photographs you think may be of interest.   There will be a box for donations towards the cost of the hall hire with any money left going to charity.   So spread the word.   Any queries contact Carole Roberts on 01502 575214.   Meanwhile we look forward to meeting everyone!
