Stoven Hall Veterinary and Rehabilitation Centre

Nestled away in a quiet corner of Suffolk just a few miles south of Beccles, you will find Stoven Hall Veterinary and Rehabilitation Centre. Owned and run by Sally Kidner, Stoven Hall is proudly an independent practice.

Sally graduated from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, Edinburgh in 1998 and has been working in the field providing veterinary care to all species, large and small, ever since.  In 2011 Sally opened Stoven Hall Veterinary and Rehabilitation Centre. This impressive purpose built facility sits perfectly alongside Sally’s farm and benefits from the land and calming surrounds.

It is important to Sally that the business remains truly independent as this way she is able to offer and maintain the highest level of patient care and customer service. The clients and patients at Stoven Hall are always the number one priority and this is something that will never change. Sally is joined in the practice by her fellow vet, Annabel March, trainee veterinary nurse Esme Flannery and Accounts Manager, Janet Allen. Annabel, Esme and Janet share Sally’s passion for providing nothing but the best in terms of medical care, expertise and customer service.

As you would expect from such an experienced and passionate team of professionals, Stoven Hall offer a full range of veterinary services for all animals from horses to small domestic animals. Of course, most frequent visitors here are horses, dogs and cats but Sally has treated bearded dragons, tortoises, fish and even a stick insect! Anything and everything from routine checks and vaccinations to more complicated procedures are handled with ease.

Out of hours emergency cover is provided by Stoven Hall’s own vets, Sally and Annabel, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  When you need them most, you will always be greeted by a friendly familiar face.

Naturally technology and understanding is constantly evolving. Sally is continuously investing in the latest state of the art equipment such as an oral endoscope (camera), facilitating advanced dental procedures in horses, and, an excellent small animal dental machine. This, of course, means the team are able to offer more services and look after your beloved animal in more ways. Attention to detail can be seen in the treatment room. Sally had her small animal treatment and operating table specially made so that is can cater for and hold the giant breeds of dogs such as Great Danes and Irish Wolfhounds. A standard operating table is simply not big enough.

Stoven Hall Vets is unique in that they are able to treat all species under one roof, not only that but each vet (Annabel and Sally) is able to treat all species.  This means whether you have horses, dogs, cats, cows, gerbils… you will always see the same vets, at the same surgery (Stoven Hall), with the facilities and knowledge to help.

Not all work is a simple in and out. Stoven Hall have facilities to hospitalise animals including horses. The cats and dogs have separate wards and the horses are, of course, in stables or paddocks. These facilities allow the team to take a little extra time if they want to give an animal more time to recover or perhaps to keep one in for monitoring then they have the facilities to do so.

On the flip side of this, there are many visits to the vet that will be a quick visit - whether it is the simple yearly check-up or vaccinations. Stoven Hall have recently introduced their own pet care plans. Perfect Paws is for dogs, cats and rabbits and Healthy Hooves covers horses. These plans work on a monthly cost and cover all routine care such as checks and vaccinations. The plans help you budget and spread the cost whilst also saving some money. If you are interested in finding out more about these plans please call the office and speak with one of the team.

Being a small independent practice, the team get to know their patients and have gained the trust of the animals they see. The team at Stoven Hall have established an excellent reputation for working with difficult and nervous dogs. Sally has great experience and a genuine love of all animals and this compassionate and professional approach soon has the dogs at ease and allows the team to go about the job of examining and treating the animal.
