Catch "STiFF" at the Pavilion Theatre, Gorelston

Rehearsals are in full swing for Gorleston Theatre Company’s production of the adult comedy STiFF, an irreverent and outrageous treatment of two subjects which are normally handled very cautiously: Funeral Parlours and Prostitution.

STiFF has been an international hit with numerous, successful, sold-out productions and as the author April Phillips says ‘My comedies are silly and nonsense with the aim of giving the audience a couple of hours of laugh-out-loud hilarity.’ STiFF is sure to do that as the cast are enjoying every minute of it and the Director is hopeful of making some progress with rehearsals, if the laughter dies down. Corpsing (excuse the pun) is rife as they get to grips with an extremely funny script about a group of “street girls” who turn a funeral parlour into a massage parlour and then decide to go through with the full funeral “thing”, when a client suddenly dies on them.

An obsessive-compulsive cleaning transvestite named Delilah, unorthodox embalming techniques, and an unusual funeral service, feature in this hilarious, quickfire comedy. Rude not crude, cheeky not vulgar - it's a modern farce with lots of great characters. Not to be missed.

The show is on at The Pavilion Theatre, Gorleston from 11th to 13th April and tickets are selling fast.
