ALDEBURGH MUSIC CLUB CONCERTS

ON Saturday 17th March Aldeburgh Music Club Choir are joining forces with the Bury Bach Choir to perform a glorious all-Mozart programme, including the grandest and most dramatic of Mozart’s choral works, the Great Mass in C minor K427.

The concert opens with Mozart’s overture to ‘Lucio Silla K135’, and the two choirs will also perform Mozart’s ‘Vesperae solennes de confessore K339’, a richly varied work, which includes a radiant setting of ‘Laudate Dominum’ for solo soprano with chorus.

Those performing: Aldeburgh Music Club Choir, Bury Bach Choir, Prometheus Orchestra with Edmond Fivet and Philip Reed, conductors.  Louise Kemény, soprano; Grace Durham, mezzo-soprano; James Geer, tenor; Julien Van Mellaerts, baritone.

Venue: Snape Maltings Concert Hall at 7.30pm.
